Job Description
The Legal Talent Partnership team is responsible for the onboarding, readiness, relationship management, performance management, and professional development of Axiom's Legal Talent Population. The team strategically partners cross functionally with the Axiom business, to ensure that the composition of the Talent population meets the demand from clients and the quality of the Talent experience. Axiom is hiring a highly motivated, thoughtful Legal Talent Partnership Specialist to support career growth and retention of our legal talent across North America. A critical member of the Axiom ecosystem, the Legal Talent Partnership Specialist will: Serve as primary Partner for a bench of legal professionals, focusing on their Axiom career-pathing and holistic employee experience including compensation recommendations and feedback communication; Conduct regular check-ins with legal professionals to gauge engagement levels, and overall satisfaction in their work and career, as well as answer any Axiom-specific questions and provide general guidance. Serve as a people leader across our NA market, designing retention & career pathing strategies for our legal talent; Strategically enable the success of Axiom legal professionals through tailored initiatives, such talent network building and integration, professional development opportunities and training; Develop a deep understanding of the skills, practice areas and industry experience across a number of legal specialty areas, including becoming an authority on the state of the legal market; Partner cross-functionally to calibrate retention efforts with client demand and hiring strategy; This is a position for someone who loves to facilitate the success of others, exhibits outstanding judgment and professionalism and possesses excellent analytical and communication skills. Successful candidates will have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and be the "calm" in a storm. This position requires the confidence to interact with experienced professionals, to speak to them about what we do in a credible and compelling way, and to understand and be responsive to their professional development goals. Beyond these characteristics, here are the required skills, knowledge, capabilities, and education: 3+ years of experience within a professional services firm or educational institution; Extremely persuasive communication skills (both verbal and written); Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills; The ability to effectively assess employee skills, interests and ability and commitment to the Axiom model; Demonstrable ability to coach, mentor, teach and develop others to meet their professional development goals; The poise and maturity to interact with senior level, highly experienced lawyers and/or clients, including the confidence and sensitivity to deliver tough or constructive feedback; A rich commercial acumen and an ability to synthesize ideas to move an initiativeand our companyforward. High-level organizational skills, together with the ability to operate in an often high-pressured and fast-paced environment; Highly proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel and PowerPoint); Legal, Coaching or HR experience preferred.
