Job Description
HeplerBroom LLC, a large defense firm, is currently seeking a licensed Associate Attorney with 5-7 years of experience in Professional Liability. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in Medical and Dental Malpractice and long term care defenseThe position will be in our DuPage office although work is currently remote. This associate will handle matters in Cook, DuPage and other collar counties.Duties include:Research, analyze, and interpret law sources such as statutes, rules and regulations, ordinances, court decisions, and legal opinionsIndependently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to endMonitor routine case files to ensure deadlines are maintained, investigate facts and legal matters to determine appropriate defenses and strategies based on causes of actionAssist with document reviewConduct depositionsAppear regularly in courtAssist with trial preparation and trial of professional liability casesUnderstand, know and follow client guidelinesAppropriately report to and communicate with clientsThis position requires:Good standing with the Illinois barStrong writing skillsStrong research and analytical skillsDeposition experience preferredWhy HeplerBroom?HeplerBroom offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including and a matching 401K and profit sharing program.The firm has recruited and trained highly qualified, dedicated, and energetic attorneys and staff.
