Torch Technologies, a 100% employee-owned company is currently seeking to fill the position of a Human Resources Generalist (Jr Level).
The Human Resource Generalist performs professional level human resources work and carries out responsibilities in one or more functional areas such as employee relations, staffing, benefits, security, training and education. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals within the organization. The generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and the business needs.
Essential Functions
Continually reviews and makes recommendations to HR Manager for improvement of the organization's policies, procedures and practices on personnel matters. Communicates changes to all employees.
Responsible for the Onboarding employees; both local and in dispersed locations as required. Collect new hire documentation and any onboarding forms. Creates employee personnel files.Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Forms I-9.
Responsible for the Out-Processing employees, both local and in dispersed locations as required. Conduct exit interviews.
Manages and tracks employee disciplinary action.
Acts as an employee relations specialist.
Monitors, approves and processes requests for leave and provides absenteeism reports and ensures proper documentation is issued on employees who have excessive tardiness or absenteeism problems. Reports vacation, sick, personal day and holiday use to payroll and scheduling. Maintains and distributes report of same.
Coordinates and manages employee events and activities. Supports employee engagement activities and serves as employee ownership and ESOP advocate
Ensures programs are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-state and overnight travel may be required.
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field or equivalent experience. Analytical skills to conduct basic research, analyze data and prepare recommendations. Ability to communicate with employees at all levels.
Preferred Education and Experience
Human resource experience in a Government services contractor environment a plus
Security clearance or the ability to obtain one is a plus
Experience with Deltek Costpoint and Talent Management
