Job Description
Genesis10 is seeking a Software Engineer Training Development Manager for a leading Telecommunications company. This is a full-time direct hire role.

Job Summary:

The MIS training team was created to teach talented software engineers about the tools, processes, systems, integrations and technology stacks at the client. When a new hire graduates from the training program, they should be able to push their team forward rather than hold them back trying to get up to speed. The team's mandate is to become the best MIS training program in the nation. The Software Engineer Training Development Manager is responsible for recruiting, interviewing and hiring new software developers. The manager is also responsible for the continued development of the MIS training curriculum and welcoming and mentoring new hires. They will teach the new hires about the team and culture as well as the tools, processes, systems, integrations, applications and technology stacks used and developed by MIS. The manager will also oversee the MIS summer internship program.
Job Duties:
  • Review resumes, interview candidates, and hire
  • Grow the MIS department from 50 to 150 in the next 2 years, and do it again after that
  • Develop an ever-evolving training curriculum with videos and exercises
  • Meet with all new-hires 1-1 weekly
  • Measure progress of the new hires
  • Provide code-reviews, work assignments and feedback for new hires
  • Coordinate monthly Dev Academy Presentations to the executive team for the graduating candidates
  • Coordinate the onboarding, training, and projects of MIS summer interns
  • Occasionally act as an individual contributor to ensure training remains relevant
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or better in Computer Science or related field
  • 4+ years of college teaching experience
  • 4+ years of management experience
  • Experience developing, running, and supporting microservice-based architecture in a production environment
  • Experience developing and consuming web services (SOAP/REST)
  • Experience with API Management platform (ex: Mulesoft),API architecture (desired)
  • Experience with Node/React/TypeScript/GraphQL
  • Experience with .Net Core and C#
  • SQL/relational database skills (Oracle desired)
  • Git command line plus Gitlab or GitHub (preferred)
  • Good analytical problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Dependability, adaptability, flexibility, and creativity
  • Ability to understand complex issues
  • Unix/Linux command line environment experience
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
