The Patient Care Associate (PCA) is a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team and works under the direct supervision of a psychiatric RN or designee to provide care to patients with diverse emotional illness. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting patients with ADL's, taking vital signs and providing one to one and group supervision of patients.

Qualifications:

*CNA certification preferred.

*Previous experience as a nurse aide preferred.

* High School Diploma or GED equivalent required within one (1) year of hire. Candidates who do not possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent will be provided the opportunity to enroll in a GED/HSEA program at time of hire as a condition of employment. A hired candidate will be provided one (1) year from date of hire to successfully complete a GED program and obtain the HSEA.

*Current BLS for Health Care Providers (CPR and AED) Program Certification, or able to obtain within 30 days of employment.
