First Merchants Bank is seeking an Account Administrator for our Columbus, OH team! This full-time position will focus on guiding and supporting customers through the lending process while providing administrative support to the Commercial Team.
As part of this role you will:

  • Provide excellent customer service by:
    • Submitting customer applications to the Credit team to initiate.
    • Providing additional support and assistance on any requests made to complete or approve requests.
    • Assisting team members with follow up on action items and/or decisions from Loan Committee
  • Contribute to overall team operation and be a primary support by:
    • Coordinating communications, appointments, documentation, etc. between the Relationship Manager(s) and the customers.
    • Ensuring all commercial credit applications/requests are complete and meet the requirements.
    • Maintaining compliance on behalf of the organization.
    • Coordinating, organizing, monitoring and communicating all processes, timelines and calendar items as needed for the team and function.


To be successful in this position, we require the following:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a role that manages debits/credits such as:
    • Accounts Payable
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Cash Handling
    • Banking
    • Lending/Loan Support
