Application UX/UI Designer

Job Description
The Infotainment and Connectivity Software Development team is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Application UX/UI Designer to develop our digital assets. This role will be part of a global team, and collaborate with other development functions across the company. Your day to day responsibilities will include:
- Investigating user experience design requirements for our suite of digital assets
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to oversee the UI/UX of new features and products from concept to launch
- Producing high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, and prototypes
- Designing UI elements and tools such as navigation menus, tabs, and widgets for digital assets
- Testing UI elements, find creative ways to solve UX problems and collaborate with the developers/testers
- Providing advice and guidance on the implementation and testing of UX/UI user stories
- Adhering to style standards on typography and graphic design
- Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Interaction Design/ Industrial Design, Architecture or equivalent (Computer Science /Electrical/Computer / Materials /Chemical/ Civil/ Aerospace/Mechanical Engineering) from an ABET accredited university
- 2 or more years of professional UX/UI designer experience or similar role
- 1 or more years of experience of design software like Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/Zeplin/Figma or similar
- Experience working in an Agile environment and using tools such as Jira
- Experience using usability testing platforms
- Ability to think creatively in problem solving and debugging
- An aptitude for learning new skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with automotive or mobile application UX/UI design
- Knowledgeable of iOS or Android designs
- Familiarity of embedded software development/android auto development or any other mobile application development
- Can provide an online portfolio, or PDF to share to help us learn about how you think and practice your craft
