Job Responsibilities:
To assist and participate in the functioning of a Standards-based Clubhouse and to oversee the daily operation of assigned work units, in collaboration with members and staff, to assure the development of a Clubhouse environment that is supportive and work-centered and exceeds the expectations of its members in support of the Mission.
A. Obtain and maintain required credentialing/training as determined by the auspice agency, Clubhouse International, the Clubhouse Program and other regulatory agencies; maintains professional and technical knowledge by identifying and establishing training needs with supervisor; follows all policies and procedures of the agency and the Clubhouse; maintains good attendance; represents GKA and Clubhouse in a professional manner consistent with the goals and expectations of both.
B. Participates in weekend/holiday/evening social activities as assigned; contributes to the intake/orientation process for all new members; completes meaningful unit orientation and initial unit paperwork; participates in clubhouse marketing, public relations and advocacy efforts; participates in all clubhouse unit meetings, planning meetings, policy and house meetings; maintains good driving record, license and insurance; share driving responsibilities for vocational, educational and social activities as assigned.
C. Assists members in the identification and achievement of goals by developing and maintaining goal plans with each member and following up with monthly progress notes. Become informed of local services/resources; advocates for members in need of services; coordinates resources/services as needed; teaches self advocacy skills; communicates effectively with other providers.
D. Engages members and shares direct responsibility for task completion; assures that adequate work exists to engage all members of the unit; monitors and coordinates work unit and other daily clubhouse activities; provides direct assistance to members in work units including food service, general maintenance, clerical, and communication services. Works with unit members to establish realistic, engaging goals for the unit; effectively intervenes and resolves crisis situations; facilitates effective reach out to absent members through phone calls, cards, letters and visits.
E. Participates in job development and community employment activities to assist members in acquiring/returning to competitive employment; provides ongoing assessment of members in work units for readiness/interest to move into community employment; works with community employers to develop new job opportunities in both Transitional and Supported competitive employment. Provides TE placement management services including coverage when appropriate; assists members with individualized job search process; provides effective follow up services to placements to assure ongoing success; maintains a positive relationship with and communication with employers; completes all required employment related paperwork; assures that members are able to report work and wage information appropriately.
F. Oversees the fiscal activity of the Clubhouse, ensuring that all billing for services is accomplished appropriately and in a timely manner (e.g. OVR, GKA, and Lehigh County). Assures that all reports required by funding sources and government agencies ( e.g. OVR, GKA, Clubhouse International, Lehigh County) are accomplished and submitted in a timely manner).
G. Responsible for keeping accurate documentation as required by program procedures: goal plans/progress, employment related paperwork including all required OVR paperwork, tracking of job placements (TE, SE, IE); CPQ required reporting.
H. Ensures that Clubhouse standards are adhered to by familiarization with, understanding of, and enforcement of standards; participates in the education of associates and members as to the standards; reviews compliance with standards on an ongoing basis; maintains programmatic philosophies and ideals as put forth in the Clubhouse Standards by actively engaging membership in the work order day.
I. Promotes an environment of workplace safety by training and informing others regarding safety standards/precautions. Monitors safety of sites and takes corrective action. Assures that regulatory safety requirements are adhered to.
J. Communicates progress and concerns to the Clubhouse Director in a timely manner.

Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or other related field OR
Associate's Degree in Human Services with at least 2 years of experience in the mental health field
CPRP certification or the ability to obtain within 2 years of hire
Valid drivers' license and insurable driver record
Must have Act 34 clearance
Must be committed to the Clubhouse philosophy
Good oral/written communication skills
Must be moderately proficient in basic computer skills, i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point
Ability to independently organize work to completion
Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform work in a flexible environment with limited routine or standardization of work projects
Must have a valid driver's license and an insurable driving record
Must complete and successfully pass State background check, Child Abuse Clearance and FBI Clearance
Other Relevant Job Information:
Salary Range $18.48 to $20.33 based on experience.
