Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist

DescriptionRobert Half has a client in Oak Park who is seeking experienced Medical Accounts Receivable Specialists to help clean up a backlog of work after a system conversion in 2020. Responsibilities include:+ Monitoring and maintaining aging reports+ Following up on unpaid claims+ Researching denials+ Making corrections/adjustments+ Processing appeals+ Communicating with internal and external parties+ Ad hoc duties as neededRequirements+ 2+ years of hospital claims experience+ Cerner experience preferred+ If not Cerner experience, must have familiarity with large EMR systems (i.e. Epic, Meditech, etc.)+ Comfortable being on the phone with payer networks+ Familiarity with BCBS claims preferred+ Strong communication skills+ Excellent time management and attention to detail+ Ability to work well with a teamAccountemps, a Robert Half Company, matches skilled accounting and finance professionals with remote or on-site jobs on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
