We are looking for a dynamic, experienced AR Collections Manager with a substantial will to win, to join our team as we achieve our goal of becoming the leading respiratory company in the world! In this role you will be responsible for developing and executing a best-in-class collections team. This role is essential to increasing cash, evaluating new customers for credit risk and improving delinquency of high dollar accounts.
Essential Functions:
Closely manage the AR collection process, partnering with Customer Service and Cash Application teams to ensure timely and accurate collections and meet other KPIs
Oversee and provide leadership - mentor, coach and develop team of 17 - 20 A/R associates
Achieve a high service level with external customers; business partner with Sales, Commercial Operations, Customer Service, IT and other key functions to ensure a seamless customer experience
Make recommendations to improve quality of invoicing and collection procedures
Assist cash application team in making sure all cash receipts are applied properly
Assist in developing credit standards
Conduct credit checks on all customer, establish and manage limits
Daily & Weekly reporting of invoicing totals/aging totals/cash receipts/invoice adjustments
Perform monthly account reconciliations, General Ledger and external reporting activities
Advise management on policies and controls; recommend changes when necessary
Liaison with external auditors
Ad hoc reporting
Work with IT on projects
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
2+ years of A/R management and accounting experience
Demonstrated ability to contribute strategically by identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements
Proficiency using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills
High ethical and professional standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
