Site: Southeast Poultry Research Lab, USDA, Athens, Georgia

Hours: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm - Monday through Friday

Pay: $24.11/hr. plus fringe benefit of $4.81/hr. An additional $1.50/hr. employer contribution will be made to your 401(k).

Minimum Years Experience: Five years

Minimum Certification, if applicable: EPA Certified in Refrigerant - Universal Refrigerate Certification

Duties:

Heating, ventilation and air conditioning repair & service. Must troubleshoot, diagnose and repair various HVAC and electrical systems. Must be able to maintain and repair air handling and fan system. Must have a technical knowledge of electronics to solve complex problems by interpreting manufactures manuals or similar documents. Must be able to perform some of the tasks of a Boiler Operator, Plumber/Pipefitter, Electrician, Painter/Carpenter and Equipment Operator. Be able to work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment.

Abilities/Skills/Knowledge Required by the Position:

Heating, ventilation and air conditioning repair in an Industry Environment is required. Must have a working knowledge of all commercial and domestic electronics and HVAC systems. Duties will be performed in a BSL3 environment.
