So, we need a Paralegal who will use their dedication to ensure prompt and appropriate litigation and administrative support to our Staff Counsel.

What You'll Do

Our Paralegals assist the attorney staff by performing legal activities that don't require attorney signature, client advise, or appearances in court. In addition, you'll:

  • Assist in the preparation of responses to discovery under direct supervision of an attorney
  • Perform factual investigations and document searches
  • Obtain investigative materials and policy information
  • Contact insureds and other witnesses to obtain factual statements.
  • Coordinate scheduling of litigation activities and witness appearances

What it Takes

  • Associate Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2-5 years of related work experience; at least one year in litigation practice
  • American Bar Association-Certified Paralegal Training
  • Advanced knowledge of case management; and knowledge of, and ability to, perform legal research
  • Experience with resources such as Westlaw and Lexis
  • Strong analytical ability and knowledge of litigation processes
  • Effective organizational and communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • High level of computer skills and familiarity with legal case management software (ProLaw, Clio, etc)
  • Ability to work independently and in multi-jurisdictional venues
  • Must be able to meet travel requirements of the job
