Together, we can help people build stronger communities - we're just getting started. **Summary:** Facebook is seeking a talented attorney to work on Facebook's Legal Privacy Team to support Facebook's commerce, marketplace and payments teams. The successful candidate will work on commerce platform products and initiatives in the United States and abroad to help businesses and users connect commerce with the community. The role will work closely with legal, product, engineering, policy, operations, and business teams, and will apply complex privacy legal frameworks to new and innovative products and services. We are looking for a candidate who has a solid understanding of privacy laws and principles, is motivated, collaborates well, and is able to practically weigh and manage risks around privacy. In addition, a successful candidate is excited by taking on and leading complex privacy projects, thrives in a fast-paced environment and can seamlessly drive success working with multiple cross-functional stakeholders to accomplish bold things. **Required Skills:** 1. Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in areas of data use and privacy laws globally and advise on the impact of the same on Facebook's business 2. Assist product lawyers in evaluating the impact of privacy laws, regulatory guidance and enforcement actions 3. Support members of the business and policy teams on privacy related e-commerce issues 4. Assist in the development and conduct of general and role-specific privacy trainings across Facebook **Minimum Qualifications:** 5. J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one US state bar 6. 5+ years of legal experience, including at a law firm and/or in-house experience 7. Experience specifically advising on privacy legal risks and mitigations, with working knowledge of relevant privacy laws such as CCPA, GDPR or LGPD 8. Business judgment and client counseling experience **Preferred Qualifications:** 9. Working knowledge of e-commerce and/or digital payments legal issues 10. In-house experience with applicable litigation, regulatory, or product counseling, particularly at a technology company 11. Working knowledge of global privacy laws, regulations, and industry guidelines, especially those relevant for social media and Internet companies 12. Experience advancing projects in a multi-stakeholder environment 13.
