Together, we can help people build stronger communities - we're just getting started. **Summary:** FRL (Facebook Reality Lab) has a mission to build the AR/VR ecosystem that helps people feel connected, anytime, anywhere. FRL builds, iterates and ships today's hardware and software on the road to the next computing platform. We're a diverse group of problem solvers driven by a culture of experimentation and innovation We are seeking a summer intern to support machine learning applications to wireless sensing technologies. In this role, you will be a key member of a team of innovators, working on leading edge wireless technologies and developing architecture to enable the future of AR/VR. This is an internship position based in Menlo Park, CA. Our internships are twelve (12) to sixteen (16) weeks long and we have various start dates throughout the year. **Required Skills:** 1. Work on exciting forward-looking research projects that may be integrated in Facebook's future products 2. Collect and analyze large amount of sensing data 3. Research and apply machine learning to the above data to test hypotheses 4. Develop metrics to help monitor and track model performance **Minimum Qualifications:** 5. Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or related field 6. Strong machine learning knowledge to solve real-world problems 7. 2+ years experience with MATLAB programming skills 8. Familiarity with Wi-Fi protocols 9. Interpersonal skills: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration 10. Must obtain work authorization in country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment **Preferred Qualifications:** 11. Intent to return to degree-program after the completion of the internship/co-op 12. Strong signal processing, mathematical and analytical skills 13. Self-motivated engineer with good task execution skills to deliver high quality output in timely manner 14.
