We strive to foster an environment that is inspiring, supportive and diverse. **Position Description:** The incumbent is responsible for coordinating patent filing and maintenance recommendations for review and approval by the Company's cross-divisional Patent Committee, and for ensuring that decisions of the Patent Committee are timely disseminated and implemented. Position is located in Rahway, NJ. Primary responsibilities include identifying cases requiring Patent Committee review utilizing IP docketing software; documenting Attorney filing and maintenance recommendations and reviewing for compliance with departmental guidelines; preparing formal Patent Committee Meeting agenda; conduct and monitor virtual Patent Committee Meeting utilizing collaborative software; generate and disseminate Patent Committee Meeting minutes, and implement all approved abandonment decisions. Assists in preparing and executing complex patent formal documents and miscellaneous department projects as needed. Position requires routine interaction with Patent and MRL Executive Management. Strict adherence to meeting schedule and ability to maintain confidentiality is critical. Incumbent must possess excellent proofreading and analytical skills in order to accurately manage patent assets in accordance with applicable US, PCT, and foreign filing deadlines. **Position Qualifications:** **Education Minimum Requirement:** ? High school diploma or equivalent required ? Paralegal certification preferred **Required Experience and Skills:** ? Two (2) years patent experience in a corporate or law firm setting ? Demonstrated understanding of domestic and international patent terminology and filing procedures, and knowledge of current USPTO rules and procedures ? Working knowledge of Intellectual Property (IP) docketing software ? Working knowledge of Microsoft products, including Microsoft SharePoint ? Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a high-volume, team-based work area ? Ability to interact with personnel at all levels, exhibiting tact, good judgment, and discretion ? Excellent communication and collaborative skills ? Time management, prioritization and attention to detail ? Flexible, organized, and efficient **Preferred Experience and Skills:** ? Knowledge of domestic and international patent prosecution docketing ?
