The Legal Department of JPMorgan Chase & Co. is responsible for the provision of legal services to J.P. Morgan and is organized by practice groups that generally align with J.P. Morgan's lines of business and corporate staff areas. This structure encourages legal teams and businesses and staff areas to discuss legal, regulatory and business developments effectively and in a timely manner. The Liquidity legal team is currently seeking an experienced, highly skilled lawyer who can provide strategic legal support to J.P. Morgan's Wholesale Payments business. J.P. Morgan's Wholesale Payments business, which is part of the Corporate and Investment Bank , is one of the world's largest providers of cash management, liquidity and escrow services. The position will be responsible for the provision of legal services to the Liquidity and Investment businesses. The Liquidity Legal team is a key partner to the product development and delivery strategy for the liquidity and investment business assisting in the development of new liquidity solutions, innovative cash management methods and other product development and enhancements. The position will entail provision of legal advice on a wide range of regulatory and compliance issues, daily business support and advice on documentation issues. You will join a successful, well established team of professionals, and will be provided with extensive training upon joining followed by continued the job support when needed. The position will be located in Chicago. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Providing legal analysis and guidance to the Liquidity business with respect to the current banking regulatory environment, including Federal Reserve Regulation D, as well as FDIC and OCC Rules and Regulations. + Collaborating with global business teams and legal/compliance colleagues and other control functions in each of our regions to address and resolve complex issues, develop policies, procedures and training materials to advance the business objectives in a compliant manner. + Drafting, negotiating and advising the business on a wide range of documentation and transaction structures for the Liquidity business. + Instructing and liaising with external counsel, as required, on transactional and bespoke product matters, including review and analysis of legal opinions. + Advising the businesses on key legal/regulatory issues. + Participating in various cross-line of business projects. + Developing and delivering appropriate legal training for internal client and other legal teams and review of marketing materials. + Attendance at internal and external meetings, e.g. product development meetings, business control meetings and document negotiations with clients and/or their internal and external legal counsel. + Law school degree (JD) + Attorney's legal licensing must be in compliance with the regulations of the local jurisdiction where the attorney will work prior to commencement of employment. + A minimum of five years post-admission practicing experience with a major law firm, financial institution or judicial clerkship relevant to the responsibilities of the position. + Familiarity with banking law and Uniform Commercial Code Articles 4 and 4A is desirable, but not required. + All candidates for roles in the Legal department must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment. **Job Description** JPMorgan Chase & Co.
