Facebook is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Associate General Counsel to join the Legal Department's Privacy Team and lead the Company's M&A initiatives and advise on a range of privacy, data protection, and compliance issues related to partnerships, acquisitions, integrations, and other business development opportunities. Associate General Counsel, Privacy M&A Responsibilities
* Lead privacy M&A due diligence and work cross functionally on all M&A related matters for Facebook and its affiliates
Partner with cross functional partners like Product, Corporate Development, Privacy, Policy, and Integration teams through the lifecycle of M&A transactions
Support major M&A transactions and complex strategic initiatives
Support and manage internal M&A and privacy initiatives and policies
Coordinate and manage outside domestic and international privacy counsel
Minimum Qualifications
* J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one US state bar
8+ years of legal experience, including at a law firm and/or in-house experience
Experience with global privacy laws, regulations and privacy programs
Experience using business judgment and with client counseling
Preferred Qualifications
* Technical or engineering background or experience
Experience with litigation, regulatory, or product counseling
Experience advancing projects in a multi-stakeholder environment
Experience prioritizing work and providing advice under deadlines
