Job Description:

The position provides representation and support for the Global Futures and Listed Derivatives business, including:

• Provide advice to the business in connection with the rules and regulations of the Commodities Futures Trading Commission, National Futures Association, and exchanges and clearing houses.

• Provide legal advice to the business and other support partners, including the collateral segregation teams and other Futures attorneys globally.

• Advise the documentation group in its negotiations of customer agreements.

• Advise the the business on electronic trading agreements (ETAs) and related issues as well as negotiate ETAs with clients.

• Provide counsel to Compliance and others in exchange-related investigations and disciplinary actions.

• Coordinate with outside counsel on regulatory, enforcement, and general corporate matters.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:

• Attorney must be licensed to practice in the appropriate jurisdiction(s).

• Should have minimum 7 years experience in futures clearing or related financial services, preferably with prior experience counseling FCMs (either internally or as external counsel).

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCES:

• Candidate should be a self-starter and quick learner, and must be able to work independently and proactively.

• Candidate should be someone who can handle multiple complex assignments and navigate a large institution.

• Candidate must possess superior communication skills and must be able to work collaboratively with others in the Legal Department, the business, and across the company.
