Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Kyriba is looking for a talented and knowledgeable Senior Legal Counsel whose focus is being a business partner to facilitate the Company's objectives while also protecting the Company from unnecessary risks and liabilities.

Reporting to the Global Legal Team and the EMEA Business Teams, the Senior Legal Counsel will primarily be involved in complex business transactions including, but not limited to, , drafting, reviewing, negotiating and closing critical and complex enterprise software/SaaS contracts, licensing agreements, consulting agreements, channel partner agreements, reseller agreements, distribution agreements, referral agreements, marketing agreements, procurement agreements, and other general business contracts. The Senior Legal Counsel will bring his/her experience to support and assist the EMEA Sales and Channel Sales teams.

• The Senior Legal Counsel will also advise the Company on regulatory compliance, privacy laws, intellectual property laws, corporate governance and disputes.
• The Senior Legal Counsel will be leading corporate strategic and tactical initiatives supporting the growth of Kyriba in EMEA. He/she will have direct involvement with all areas of the business including Sales, Marketing, Human Resources, Product Development, Security, Compliance, Corporate Governance and Strategic Growth Initiatives. He/she will be expected to provide leadership and forge substantive relationships throughout the Company as well as external stakeholder groups. The Senior Legal Counsel is expected to be a proactive team member and will be involved in matters that affect the Company globally. The Senior Legal Counsel will be responsible for managing and implementing compliance functions to support the evolving needs of a fast paced and rapidly expanding global business.
• The Senior Legal Counsel will provide legal guidance and legal management best practices and operating standards related to business, and European regulations and strategic matters.
• The Senior Legal Counsel can also be responsible for understanding legal issues with global joint ventures, strategic partnerships, intellectual property and mergers and acquisitions.

Education, Experience and Skills:

• Advanced Law Degree from accredited law school
• Relevant and successful legal experience in the context of commercial transactions, at least 5 years' experience
• Experience with European privacy, data protection, software security issues and software / SaaS deals
• Willingness to face compliance and regulatory areas of the European financial/bank marketplace
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to lead negotiations for complex and international contracts
• An experience with commercial trans-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions and joint-ventures.
• Experienced problem-solver with a business approach would be an asset
• High motivation to work with cultural diversity and high pressure environments
• You are a team player and will appreciate to work in a cross functional way
