We have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Audit Intern at a leading global medical device manufacturer. This internship provides diverse exposure and experience to augment a career in Internal Audit, Accounting, Manufacturing, Information Systems, and Compliance. This position is ideal for candidates completing a Bachelor's degree and/or considering a Master's program.

As a part of Merit Medical's global Internal Audit team, you will practice and apply auditing standards found in the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF), and assure compliance over financial reporting under Sections 302 and 404 of the U.S. Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, while being exposed to a global high-growth business environment.

The Internal Audit team at Merit Medical is responsible for assessing risk and control activities throughout the company and strives to improve business performance by turning risk and compliance efforts into opportunities; and creating, enhancing, and preserving organizational value. We provide the Company with objective and independent assurance services. We work to support the Company in its mission, and help it achieve its objectives through proactive risk management.

Opportunities:
* Assist with audit planning, field work, and reporting
* Perform audit procedures including tests of internal controls
* Assess and evaluate risk and related potential impacts and likelihood
* Maintain risk and control database and documentation
* Document and assess processes and transaction flows
* Assist with quality assessment and improvement of the internal audit function
* Perform other related tasks, as required

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree, or nearly completed degree, in a related field, e.g., Internal Audit, Accounting, Business, Communications, IT.

This position is part of our Internal Audit Intern Program which provides paid opportunities to gain skills and hands on experience in a dynamic global corporate environment. If requested, Merit will coordinate internship credit requirements with a student's school.
