The ICT connectivity team builds new connected car applications used by FCA customers, covering a myriad of technologies and systems and ranges from in-vehicle to off board systems. As an ICT organization, our primary focus is on off-board systems and its interaction and integration with in-vehicle systems. The off-board systems are complex in that they cover cloud platforms, user channels, back office systems, contact centers and integration with third party systems. All of these systems must have robust solutions developed to support high availability and fast response of services expected by our customers. In addition, the connectivity systems developed by FCA is global (build once deploy globally) with regional adaptations. The Infrastructure and Solutions Architect is responsible for leading and introducing the overall infrastructure design, deployment, and maintenance as well as technical design of applications and services inside the Connected Vehicle Ecosystem, collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure the architecture is aligned with business requirements and FCA security and architecture requirements, and act as a consultant to both business and the feature architects on theoretical and actual solutions for projects. The Infrastructure and Solutions architect oversees design of end-to-end solution for assigned features by developing and approving sequence flows, data flow diagrams, infrastructure, and overall feature design with failure mode effect analysis. The Infrastructure and Solutions Architect also plans out the Infrastructure lifecycle in AWS including deployment, patching, networking, and security compliance. The Infrastructure and Solutions Architect also provides technical leadership and mentorship to the application development team and feature architects to ensure best of breed solutions for the Connected Vehicle Program.
