Position(s): CAD Technician
Carrier: Verizon
Location: One of these 3 locations: 1. San Diego, CA; 2. Chicago, IL; 3. Sacramento, CA
Remote: Our corporate offices are currently closed, so it would be 100% remote until the offices re-open. Once re-opened, it will be 2 days in the office per week.
Pay Rate: $27/hour
SUMMARY: The CAD Technician will perform a wide-variety of Telecom projects, mappings and architectural/engineering drawings such as updating and/or creating Tower / Poles / Rooftops, designing drawings using computer aided design (CAD) technology; conducting research; reading and interpreting maps, blueprints, survey documents, or sketches; proofing or comparing the information contained on drawings with information from different sources; measuring distances, areas, perimeters, and angles; and uses computer applications to enter, query information.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Candidate must produce various types of drawings that include site plans, equipment layouts and details, elevation views of site/equipment, schematics, and grounding details.
- Candidate must be able to produce drawings from sketches, mark-ups, existing as-builts, site maps, photos, field notes and existing AutoCAD drawings (when available).
- Candidate is expected to be a self-starter, ability to perform duties with only limited supervision and be a cooperative team player.
- Candidate must be able to complete drawing packages in timely manner while maintaining a high level of quality, accuracy, and professionalism.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Preferred Drafting/Design in Architecture or Engineering field with 1-year experience or Associates Degree related to such fields.
- Telecommunications Experience (Desired).
- 3+ years of CAD drafting experience and Telecom experience strongly preferred.
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2019 or newer, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Photoshop is a plus!
- Ability to operate a plotter.
- High Level of Organization and Scheduling Abilities.

MUST HAVE:
- Telecom drafting experience (Telecom experience required)
- AutoCAD
PREFERRED:
- Experience in the field (Site walks) and/or Construction.
- Create PhotoSims with Adobe Photoshop or Corel.
