Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

Southfield, MI - World Headquarters

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Reporting to Advanced Manufacturing Lead
  • Willingness to take direction and mentoring from other senior group members
  • Labor analysis utilizing BasicMOST standards
  • Support of step-down labor projects for responsible facilities
  • Layout updates including lineside material display, warehouse planning, and equipment installation coordination plans
  • Data analysis supporting PFEP and material excellence
  • Support the initiative established by the AME leads
  • Support introduction of new technologies in the plants as well as continuous improvement of the existing process
  • Team member of creating DFM, control plan, process flow, and FMEA for manufacturing process
  • Support launches onsite for responsible facilities
  • Willingness to support other sites for read across and information sharing

Your Qualifications:

  • University diploma in engineering / Industrial engineering or equivalent work experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Good command of English, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations including manufacturing stragies, cost modelling, and logistics flow
  • Very good command of MS-Office, MS-Project, labor balancing tools, and AutoCAD
  • Clear understanding of Lean principles and the personal commitment to continuous improvement
  • Ability and willingness to travel 25% on average
  • Ability to complete 2D AutoCAD layout drawings
