Job Responsibilities:
Position is located in Northern Berks County, approximately 25 miles from each Fogelsville and Muhlenberg Goodwill Stores.

Performs custodial and grounds duties. Provides on-the-job training and supports to individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment in fulfilling duties of contracts and ensure that all quality standards set by the contract are met.
A. Performs, trains, and assists employees/trainees to perform a wide variety of cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dust mopping, spot cleaning, trash collection and removal, vacuuming, dusting, restroom cleaning, window washing, floor maintenance, etc.
B. In the absence of the Custodial Trainer, assigns employees/trainees their duties and follows up on work to ensure that it is completed thoroughly and meets all quality standards. As requested, provides the Custodial Project Manager with information for job performance evaluations on employees/trainees.
C. Performs all grounds keeping duties such as mowing the grass, trimming, edging, mulching, basic gardening, snow removal, spreading anti-skid material on walks, etc.
D. Ensures that all machinery and equipment is properly maintained, sharpened, cleaned, secured, and in good condition. Reports all problems and repair requests to the Custodial Project Manager or Supervisor in a timely manner.
E. Performs all duties in a safe manner and ensures that all employees/trainees, self included, adhere to safety guidelines such as the use of caution signs when mopping, stripping, waxing floors, and any other high risk areas. Prompt removal of signs when the area is clear or dry. Ensures that all power equipment and machinery is operated in the approved, safe manner. Practices and teaches safe work methods. Always uses and ensures that proper PPE (goggles, safety glasses, gloves, apron, face shield, etc) is worn by all employees/trainees, self included, when working in areas or with equipment that dictate their use.
F. Ensures that all employees/trainees, self included, are using supplies in an efficient manner to reduce waste and cost.
G. Assists the Custodial Project Manager with maintaining quality standards set by the contract. May participate as a member of the quality assurance team. May participate in daily, weekly, and monthly inspections. Identifies opportunities, takes corrective action, and keeps the Project Manager abreast of any potential problems. Maintains daily logs, as assigned.
H. Works assigned Saturdays as dictated by the contract.
I. Performs periodic other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED.
Valid PA Drivers License.
Must have a clean criminal record.
Ability work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Must possess good communication skills.
Ability to work beyond normal schedule, as needed.
Must call Supervisor or Project Manager a MINIMUM of 60 minutes PRIOR to the start of a scheduled shift to report absence.
Must be able to obtain all required security clearances.
Other Relevant Job Information:
Salary Range $13.43 to $14.77 based on experience.
