Your Impact * Lead programs by achieving alignment on program scope, release planning, as well as aligning one or more teams on vision, business goals, creating program structure, and securing cross-functional alignment. * Drive teams through the Software engineering experience using Agile and demonstrated analytical and technical skills. * Drive Steering Committee meetings with key stakeholders for each program to help make key decisions, remove obstacles, and address key program issues. Be the key driver to ensure business goals are met and drive the strategic vision of each program. * Develop strong partnerships with key functional stakeholders to drive focus on business goals. Be a trusted partner for executive management to ensure program success. * Partner with cross-functional teammates to drive workgroup alignment meetings to address tactical release issues, dependencies, team status, production issues, metrics review, milestones, etc. (cross functional - Product Owners, Scrum Masters, TechOps, Release Eng, Capacity, Functional Managers, Release Management). * Provide visibility to program status (issues, risks, metrics, etc.) on an ongoing basis through push status reporting (to all stakeholders, team members, and interested parties). * Manage "program/feature" dependencies across multiple teams, scrum teams, functions, divisions, and stakeholders. * Anticipate and remove obstacles with a sense of urgency that slow down or prevent project teams from delivering on project goals. * Provide monthly program reviews and updates at sprint reviews (deep dive into current state of project goals, risks, escalations). * Create a collaborative environment that fosters creativity, innovation, and learning. * Be a catalyst within the organization, someone who can help advance our Product & Technology strategy globally and drive others in the organization to change. Minimum Requirements * 6-10 years (Senior TPM)/10-15+ years (Director)/12+ years (Senior Director) of enterprise software/technical program or engineering management experience at an enterprise technology company. * 6+ years of solution management experience for software or SaaS experience. * 3+ years of successfully implementing and managing SaaS product development programs; strong knowledge of the SaaS business model and its product development lifecycle. * Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation. * Deep experience with the software development lifecycle; ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using agile methodologies. * Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and technical and non-technical team members alike. * Outstanding organizational, communication, and relationship building skills conducive to driving consensus; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment. * Experience with Portfolio Management. * Ability to master technical subjects and technologies relevant to the program. * Strong organizational, project management, analysis, and communication skills. * Ability to work well as a member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members. * Ability to successfully partner with all functions across the entire company. * Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. OUR OPEN TECHNICAL PROGRAM MANAGER OPPORTUNITIES - LOCATIONS: Open to multiple US Locations) Senior Manager/Director, Technical Program Management, Einstein/.AI The Senior Manager/Director of Technical Program Management for Einstein will be helping with technical program management aspects across Einstein Platform Apps product and engineering functions, and their collaborations/partnerships with other organizations within Salesforce. This person will partner with our leadership team to drive strategy, in addition to helping to plan, organize, and work with teams to help execute the vision for our key initiatives. The SM/Director will also represent the Einstein Platform Apps team's release plan, priorities, and business requirements to groups throughout the organization. Additionally, they will be instrumental for directly driving one of our key Platform initiatives. This is an individual contributor role and does not have people management responsibilities. Director, Technical Program Management, Einstein/AI Bots Einstein is the intelligence layer of the world's most intelligent CRM; it is AI for Salesforce. The Director of Technical Program Management for Einstein will drive technical program management for our Bots offering. This role will partner closely with product and engineering functions, and their collaborations/partnerships with other organizations within Salesforce. This person will partner with our leadership team to drive strategy, in addition to helping to plan, organize, and work with teams to help execute the vision for our key initiatives. Director will also represent the Bots team's release plan, priorities, and business requirements to groups throughout the organization. Additionally, they will be instrumental for directly driving one of our key strategic integration initiatives. This is an individual contributor role. The Director/Senior Director, Technical Program Management, Architecture The Director/Senior Director of Technical Program Management for Architecture will build and drive the operational backbone of Salesforce's future-state Architecture and Shared Service initiatives. The TPM will partner with the Chief Architect to address the most important architectural challenges across the company with sponsorship from the highest levels of engineering leadership. This role will run a series of strategic cross-cloud architecture and shared service programs and be responsible for partnering with cross-function and cross-cloud leadership teams to drive the strategy of these programs, as well as helping to plan, organize and work with teams to execute the vision. The Architecture TPM will often be covering new ground within the company and will need to determine how different organizations work, align key people to goals, and be creative in determining how to drive to success, leveraging successful models where they exist and creating processes and best practices where they don't. Dir/SD, Technical Program Management, Digital Delivery The Director/Senior Director of Technical Program Management for Digital Delivery will build and drive the operational backbone of the digital delivery initiative to transform the Salesforce.com website, including new digital experiences running on Salesforce technology. Candidates for this role will have demonstrable experience driving cross-functional initiatives at scale and should be familiar with the development of marketing, community, and content-based experiences. This is a leadership role responsible for working closely with key company stakeholders to drive critical programs and activities related to our global web properties. The TPM will organize delivery of customer-facing programs and strategic engineering programs supporting the website. You will help drive customer success by partnering with our Product, Engineering, UX, and Marketing organizations to ensure successful, end-to-end delivery of large-scale programs across a multi-year roadmap. Director, Technical Program Management, Field Service The Director of Technical Program Management for Field Service will drive the program management and operational excellence for Field Service. This person will engage and collaborate with our entire Field Service organization. This person will partner with our CSI leadership team on this initiative in addition to helping to plan, organize, and work with teams to help execute the vision, adding to the corporate value stream. Technical Program Management, Release Management The Director/Senior Director of Technical Program Management for Release & Service Management is a senior leadership role on the Release & Service Management team. This leader will organize delivery of strategic engineering programs enabling high availability across all Salesforce products. You will help drive customer success by partnering with Engineering organizations to ensure successful, end-to-end delivery of large-scale programs across a multi-year roadmap. You will partner with leadership stakeholders to drive program strategy, and you will help to plan, organize, and work with functional teams to deliver business value. Dir./SD, Technical Program Management, Cross-Cloud The Director/Senior Director of Technical Program Management for Cross-Cloud will build and drive the operational backbone of our Cross-Cloud initiatives. This person will run strategic cross-cloud programs and be responsible for partnering with cross-function and cross-cloud leadership teams to drive the strategy of one or more programs, as well as helping to plan, organize and work with teams to execute the vision. Primary focus will be working with our AI teams across the Tableau CRM and Data Platform teams. Director of Technical Program Management for Intelligent Feedback The Director of Technical Program Management, Intelligent Feedback will build and drive the operational backbone of our Intelligent Feedback initiatives. The Intelligent Feedback team is passionate about empowering customers to influence the Salesforce product roadmap by revamping the IdeaExchange and Known Issues in order to create best-in-class feedback management experience. These products and their supporting programs will fuel innovation, foster collaboration between the Trailblazer Community and Salesforce teams, and communicate roadmap features and bugs to customers. The TPM will drive the strategy of the program, as well as help plan, organize, and work with product, Cloud TPMs, and other cross-functional teams across the company to execute the vision. This will involve working with product owners across Clouds to run IdeaExchange prioritization cycles and establishing scorecards to encourage and measure product team engagement with the community. The TPM will also help with the Known Issues program, driving decisions with the team on re-platforming and establishing scorecards and modes of engagement with product and engineering teams. This role will be responsible for coordinating with other teams such as Business Technology, Data Intelligence, and User Insights to ensure systems and processes help synthesize feedback signals to support Intelligent Feedback at scale. Director, Technical Program Management, Essentials The Director of Technical Program Management for Essentials will be responsible for leading strategic cross-functional and operational programs supporting the Essentials business. This person will partner with Essentials leadership to drive the strategy of these programs and deliver on the product roadmaps that align to the Salesforce Simple and Slack CRM methods. The work will include an Essentials product roadmap that positions it as the logo engine for Salesforce and the jumping point for higher editions. Pending the Slack acquisition, this person will also ensure successful delivery of a new Slack CRM that delivers an easy to use experience. These initiatives will require close coordination with other teams including Sales Cloud to ensure alignment on tasks.
