Your Opportunity:Taylor Print & Service Solutions Group is seeking aManager of Accounting to join our Finance team in Dayton, OH who is eager to make an immediate impact!

In this role, working in collaboration with the business, the Manager of Accounting will assist the VP Finance, Controller in refining month end processes, assist in evaluating risks to the financial statement environment, and provide cross-functional training focusing on ensuring that all month-end sources are properly transacted across the enterprise. This individual will be required to remain current with rapidly evolving financial system integration projects within the company.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Manage the month-end process for financial statements and cash flow for the Group - including streamlining the reporting cycle
  • Technical accounting research to identify appropriate accounting treatment for revenue recognition and other unique transactions
  • Assist with implementation of new accounting standards and manage training program for departmental personnel
  • Develop written accounting policies and procedures as needed
  • Assist all facets of the business in developing business practices and written policies for revenue recognition that will meet their desired outcomes and US GAAP requirements, and monitor compliance with the Company's revenue recognition policies including revenue accounting entries in the close process.
  • Monthly closing activities, including journal entry review and reviewing general ledger account reconciliations to verify transactions have been recorded properly
  • Comply with internal controls to protect the assets of the company
  • Provide and participate in cross-training as appropriate
  • Complete balance sheet flux analysis & bring issues to management attention during close
  • Create & document formal processes
  • Lead cross training in the Accounting department
  • Facilitate working sessions to define, solution and scope projects
  • Help organize project management timelines
  • Develop and present SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Establish practices and procedures that work towards best practices & continuous process improvement
  • Responsible for Audit schedules and responses as assigned

You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 6+ years of accounting experience
  • Ability to mentor and challenge accounting staff
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills - ability to establish credibility, make decisions, and forge relationships
  • Possess a collaborative style with the ability to work and communicate effectively with peers and management
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical accounting requirements to a non-technical audience
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational and strong analytical skills, interest in identifying and resolving problems
  • Advanced knowledge of computer financial accounting ERP systems (i.e. Oracle/Infor/SAP, etc.) and Advanced Microsoft Excel experience required.
  • Ability to work longer hours during close to meet deadlines
  • Strong working knowledge of and technical proficiency in revenue recognition & US GAAP
  • Strong understanding of internal controls & internal control compliance
  • Ability to understand and articulate the accounting behind the business transactions
  • Strong curiosity to understand processes & help drive more accurate and timely results
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, interfacing with internal & external auditors, internal peers, management, computer software engineers, customers, and leadership
  • Ability to develop training materials & SOP's
  • Work well with teams or in team environments
  • Willingness and capability of quickly learning new technologies required for accomplishing project goals
  • Work independently and prioritize multiple competing assignments appropriately to meet deadlines while adjusting to a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to operate effectively under conditions of moderate ambiguity
  • Ability to use Microsoft Teams, Word, Power-Point, and Outlook
  • Desirous of pursuing CPA, CMA,or Master's a +
  • Experience in implementing an ERP a +
