Job Summary:

The Parking Lot Attendant will ensure that motorists adhere to local parking rules and regulations at Nantucket Cottage Hospital and all NCH managed properties. The attendant will assist in coordinating COVID-19 testing lines and obtaining patient information.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures that motorists abide by parking laws and ordinances.
• The attendant will assist in coordinating COVID-19 testing lines and vaccine flow management in the parking lot and obtain patient information.
• Maintains logs, reports, and other documentation of observed violations.
• Answers driver questions regarding parking, directions, or similar issues.
• Reports hazardous conditions such as faded street markings or missing or malfunctioning traffic signals.
• Contacts Security and if appropriate law enforcement for handling of escalated violations and automobile accidents.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required for the Position

Skills/Abilities:

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Must be able to speak and write the English language.

Credentials and Experience Required

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual preferred.

Special Requirements

• Prolonged periods walking throughout assigned area, sometimes over uneven terrain.
• Must be able to work in all types of weather.
• Will require days during the week and weekends.
• Must be available to work overtime as needed to complete all job duties.
• Must be available to work in the case of a Hospital declared emergency.
