*Responsible for preparation of monthly financial statements and related notes, performs analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained
*Responsible for preparation of work-papers for all organizations supporting annual tax returns
*Coordinates annual field work of the engaged auditing firms to assure timely compliance
*Responsible for preparation of Medicare and Medicaid cost report work-papers to be submitted to CPA firms in accordance with previously established deadlines
*Strategic partner for operations by providing data and reports to assist with decision making
*Responsible for setting up new chart of accounts and legal entities
*Oversees accounting function
*Ownership of the month end close process
*Lead annual audits
*Implement changes to accounting policy as required
*Co-ordinate close process with AP, AR and Payroll
Job Requirements:
*5+ years general accounting and financial management experience
*3+ years in controller or accounting manager position
*Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
*Exceptional knowledge of computer systems used by the organizations, strong knowledge of Microsoft Office
*Clean financial history
*Confidential, understands the ethical standards of an accountant
*Conscientious about timeliness of assignments and quality of work
*Accountable for specific performance
