Visit cdkglobal.com Position Summary The VP, Finance Business Partner is a key executive-level role responsible for managing and driving business and financial performance for a given client group. The role will report to the CFO and partner extremely closely with the Senior Leadership Team as well as the Board of Directors. This role will be a financial business partner to internal clients overseeing quarterly reviews, operating plans, strategic business plans, as well as providing all analysis of new product introductions, geographic expansions, and M&A. Position Responsibilities & Essential functions Partnering with the CFO and broader business to be integral to the development of the company's strategic plans and their implementation, driving change, recommendations on business expansion, and innovation across the business B e the trusted advisor to the CFO, Board of Directors, and the wider leadership team Oversee financial results for multiple business lines through monthly forecasting, monthly close, analytics/reporting, and present to Senior Leadership Maintain accurate risk/opportunity assessments of the businesses within the portfolio and ensure Senior Leadership are constantly informed of our financial position. Lead key financial processes such as annual operating plan and budgeting, Monthly and Quarterly Financial Reviews to the leadership team, and the financial development of both short- and long-term strategic plans. Develop appropriate financial targets and be able to discuss and support these to the Senior Management Teams. Take responsibility for the achievement of annual financial targets and goals Provide recommendations/proposals of business expansion Maintain an awareness of general economic, business, and financial conditions and their potential impact on the Business's policies and operations and recommends measures to capitalize on or protect the business from these changing conditions. Oversee preparation of business cases to support key strategic investment decisions, critique assumptions with management, and partner to implement as appropriate. Ensure compliance with all CDK financial policies and conventions across the Business Units. Develop excellent relationships across the wider CDK Corporation, including key Senior Leadership players and senior financial managers in other CDK Divisions and business units, and the external community Develop team members through emphasis on mentoring/coaching and career development goals/planning. Look for opportunities to enhance their spheres of responsibility and giving opportunity for new experiences Continually review succession planning for key/critical roles Qualifications & Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline Strong background in business Finance, financial analysis, and/or accounting in diverse industries Depth of people management experience, with proven ability to lead, motivate, coach and influence team members that are part of a matrixed organization. Demonstrated experience working with Senior Leadership Prior experience with Hyperion and Oracle systems Highly proficient in the use of the Microsoft Excel and solid proficiency in the other Microsoft Exceptional networking skills Strong Influencing ability Strong customer consulting acumen Excellent communication skills and comfortable in interacting at all levels, both internal and external to the organization Strong financial analysis Experience in managing high growth businesses, with an ability to spot areas of opportunity and risk and allocate or re-direct resources accordingly Adept at forging strong relationships within a matrix environment; collaborative work style. Excellent analytical and interpretive skills, intellectual rigor and an ability to think independently, and outside the box. An unquestionable ability to deliver results under tight deadlines and time pressures Self-confident and outgoing, with a straight forward personality. Comfortable working with very sensitive data and able maintain a high degree of discretion.
