GENERAL SUMMARY To provide administrative and clerical legal support to attorneys and paralegals. General management of the reception area to ensure effective telephone and mail communications both internally and externally to maintain professional image
JOB DUTIES This position includes, but is not limited to, the following duties: Greet clients and guestsAnswer telephone and professionally and efficiently direct calls to the appropriate person Request accident reports, 911 calls, and other investigative information at the direction of paralegal Open new files, both physically and in case management softwareRun conflict checksAccurately file correspondence, pleadings, discovery, and other file information in chronological order at direction/request of paralegalSchedule meetings, conference calls, etc.Prepare/format letters and other miscellaneous correspondence
Post expenses
Process daily mail
Monitor and prepare order sheet for office supplies
Copy and scan case-related documents, correspondence, and internal documents.
Additional duties as familiarity/comfort level increases
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to manage and complete multiple tasks
Ability to function independently and prioritize assignments

Ability to learn and adapt to specifics of firm’s industry-leading case-management software
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a professional environment
