About East Limestone Eye Care

Established in 2011, East Limestone Eye Care provides innovative eye care services to residents and families in Athens and the surrounding communities. The practice offers comprehensive eye health assessments, ocular disease diagnosis and treatment, contact lens evaluation and fittings, and post-operative care. The practice also specializes in glaucoma and providing eye care for all ages and special populations. To help support a growing patient base, East Limestone Eye Care is looking for an Optometrist to join the tightly-knit team of four employees.

The practice is committed to providing the best possible solution for the patients' eye health and vision needs. By utilizing the latest technologies and evidence-based treatments, the team of professionals can ensure each patient achieves and maintains optimal eye health. The office is fully suited with automated optical equipment, in addition to an optical coherence tomography, fundus camera, visual field, and advanced technology for glaucoma management. The practice flow runs smoothly, enabling the doctors to care for, on average, 18 patients daily. Patients enjoy personalized service from the Opticians as they select the best fit for visual, functionality, and lifestyle needs.

About the Part-Time Optometrist Opportunity

East Limestone Eye Care is seeking an immediate part-time Optometrist who genuinely cares about the patient experience and has excellent patient communication skills and bedside manner. You'll perform comprehensive eye examinations for visual and ocular health-a candidate with strong refraction skills will be an asset to the team. The position is covering Maternity Leave in August and September, moving to a part-time schedule after. weand may expand to include more hours in the future. A continuing education allowance will also be available for the Optometrist to learn and develop new skills.

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will want to develop skills through mentorship with experienced doctors and integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.

The minimum qualifications include:

* Optometry license in the state of Alabama
* Excellent refraction skills
