The North American Reliability, Maintenance, and Engineering group (NA RME) is seeking a Fire and Life Safety (FLS) Program Manager- Regulatory Central Services (CS) to join the Fire/Life-Safety (FLS) team and play a critical role ensuring Amazon's people, property, and operations are protected from fire and related risks.

The NA RME group supports NA Operations, by providing reliability, maintenance, and engineering services for all business types in the fulfillment network.

The FLS Program Manager - Regulatory, will support site compliance with fire protection regulatory requirements, perform data analysis, create & maintaining internal websites, and collaborate with Workplace, Health & Safety (WHS) and other internal stakeholders to improve fire prevention and life-safety programs.

This role encompasses National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, International Code Council (ICC) requirements, and other fire protection and life safety regulations and best practices.


Key Job Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with site and corporate WHS to ensure proper implementation of fire safety/fire prevention and regulatory compliance activities and recordkeeping
* Review and recommend changes to FLS programs based on fire code updates and revisions
* Source and analyze FLS related data and metrics and prepare reports and summaries as needed for staff and leadership review
* Work with the Root Cause Analysis team to coordinate investigation of FLS events and distribute preventive/corrective actions across the network
* Maintain internal websites, SharePoints, WIKIs, and similar knowledge sharing platforms
* Track and manage FLS related projects across multiple locations
* Support other FLS roles as needed
* Travel in North America 25-50% depending on project requirements
* Collaborate as needed with other FLS partners and stakeholders such as Design & Construction, Risk Management, Legal, etc.
* Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other relevant discipline
* 3+ years related experience in Fire and Life Safety system design, installation, maintenance, Code enforcement, Auditing, Insurance loss control, or other relevant field
* Experience applying National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards, International Code Council (ICC) requirements, and other fire protection and life safety regulations and best practices


* Fire Protection and/or other relevant professional certification (CFPS, CSP, ARM, RME-G, NICET-III etc.) and Project management certification (PMP or equivalent)
* Six-sigma green-belt (or higher) certification
* Knowledge of fire protection and life-safety principles & practices, fire code requirements, project management tools/techniques, and investigative methods
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Experience collecting, managing, and utilizing data related to FLS events, maintenance, and costs and presenting data to non-technical audience

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $74,200-$129,800/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
