Audiovisual Technician - Broadcast Operations Center
External Job Description

Audiovisual Technician supports operation of our client's Broadcast Operations Center at the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) located in Washington, DC. The Broadcast Operations Center delivers news, information, training and employee development programs to all HUD employees nationwide.

The Broadcast Operations Center provides services Monday through Friday between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm; Flexible and compressed work schedules are available. The work hours may be adjusted by the Program Manager based on Department needs and scheduled events.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install/operate various systems within the client's facilities.
  • Ensure a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of broadcasting equipment.
  • Monitor Service Desk for tickets assigned to the queue and process first-in first-out based on priority.
  • Provide helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user's satisfaction.
  • Perform maintenance of broadcast equipment.
  • Assure high quality of broadcasting.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience:

Required:

  • Associates Degree
  • Min. ten (10) years of experience in audiovisual event set up, digital audio board operation and staging
  • Basic troubleshooting skills
  • Detail-oriented, well organized and able to handle multiple tasks
  • Able to work independently and as a team member
  • Professional demeanor, positive attitude, patience, flexibility and a customer-service attitude
