About Dr. Gottlieb Optometry

Established in 1981, Gottlieb Optometry provides optometric services to families and residents in Los Angeles County of all ages, insurances, visual and medical diagnoses. As the practice is committed to providing optimal eye care, the professionals specialize in ocular disease treatment and management, corneal refractive therapy, computer vision syndrome, dry eye, specialty contact lenses, and surgical co-management. To continue serving a growing patient base with exceptional service, Dr. Gottlieb Optometry is looking for an Optometrist to provide care at both Lakewood practice locations.

Dr. Gottlieb Optometry continuously stays at the forefront of new developments in the field of optometry. To diagnose and treat a wide array of eye diseases, the practice is well-appointed with automated optical equipment and behind-the-scenes functional technology that includes digital phoropters, OCT, Optos, Keratograph 5, and Essilor Mr Blue Sport 2. Patients enjoy a family-friendly shopping experience as they browse an eyewear selection that offers over 1,000 frames to choose from. They'll also receive personalized customer support from the Opticians who ensure the proper fit for comfort-plus, the practice has an on-site lab to conveniently service patients with same-day glasses.

About the Part-Time Optometrist Position

Dr. Gottlieb Optometry is seeking a part-time Optometrist who is passionate about providing personalized and exceptional patient care to ensure optimal eye health. You'll practice 16 hours per week at both practice locations and provide comprehensive eye examinations for visual and ocular health. You'll also fit and evaluate contacts, recommend glasses and coatings, and refer for surgical consults when appropriate-approximately 8 to 12 patients are cared for daily. A candidate experienced in advanced ocular diseases, corneal refractive therapy lenses, and dry eye treatment and management will be an asset to the practice. The practice is looking for a candidate who is willing to learn new techniques to perform exams and recommending different treatments.

To be successful in this role, you must demonstrate leadership, communication, interpersonal skills, and compassion for patient health and safety. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, responsible, service-oriented, community-involved, and willing to integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services.

Minimum qualifications include:

* Optometry license in the state of California
* At least one year of post-graduate experience

Preferred qualifications include:

* Advanced ocular disease knowledge
* Corneal refractive therapy lenses
* Dry eye treatment and management
* Laser eye surgery co-management
