Cognitive Professional Services Inc. is submitting a proposal bid in response to a 24/7 contract operation request and is seeking qualified Youth Care Workers for part time shifts to join our team.
Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide direct supervision of children in care, and maintain line-of-sight at all times
Provide oversight during recreation, meal time, relaxing time, and play
Assist during transition and movement of children from one activity to the next and one physical location to another
Interact with children in an appropriate manner, including playing games or during recreational time
Maintain the Unaccompanied Children case file and Office of Refugee Resettlement Database in accordance with ORR policies and procedures
Requirements:
Must be a U.S. citizen. Must have the ability to prove U.S. citizenship.
Security Requirement: Successfully pass a Background Investigation and drug test.
May require Clean Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN) or child protective services check
Bilingual in Spanish/English.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum age of 18 years old.
Minimum of 1-year employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents in a social service setting.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Good communication and interpersonal skills – ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish
Ability to perform vigorous physical activity (bending, standing, walking, sitting, etc.) for extended periods.
Ability to hear and see well enough to monitor children and keep them safe at all times.
