Job Responsibilities: | |||||||||||||
Performs material handling for donated goods program. Provides assistance to drivers in all areas of transportation of materials. Maintains awareness of the working conditions of the equipment in the department. Manages the textiles, wares, warehouse storage, and oversee all functions relating to sorting, pricing, storing and preparing of merchandise. Provides supervision in the absence of Store Leadership. A. Manages the daily operations of textiles, wares flow and backroom staging. Ensures a steady flow of the total production process; ensures quality standards from both employees and clients, performs production duties as necessary to fulfill demands. B. Coordinates daily shipments to the Harrisburg distribution center:Communicates regularly with appropriate personnel; completes/maintains necessary paperwork; separates processed materials according to demands/trends. C. Assists and oversees general dock operations to include, but not be limited to: Loading and unloading of trucks; keeping dock area clean and organized; completion of all required forms; cleans around dock; empties containers of trash. Ensures outgoing and incoming trucks are loaded properly. Communicates transportation needs to store manager and transportation. D. Investigates alternate production methods to maintain high efficiency level. E. Daily performs and oversees the following duties to include, but not be limited to: Policing the property; removing trash from the parameters of the building including grounds; empties trash; sweeps dock areas; weeds grounds around facility; snow and ice removal; outside maintenance and lawn care; maintains cleanliness of work areas and trucks. F. Assist with the operation of the floor by loading furniture for customers when needed and placing donated furniture onto the sales floor. Rotating to Harrisburg as needed. G. Presents a neat and professional appearance to the general public. Answers questions and provides general information as necessary. H. Maintains an awareness of safety practices, techniques, precautions and performs duties in a safe manner at all times. I. Communicates progress/concerns of the department to the Store Manager. J. Supports and promotes organizational programs and special events. |

Job Qualifications: | |||||||||||||
High School Diploma or equivalent plus four years of experience in workshop or industrial work with two years of supervisory experience; or, equivalent education and experience. |

Salary Range $13.00 to $14.30 based on experience. |
