Job Description

Inter-Con is searching for an Armed Special Agent reporting to the Division Manager to join our coveted High Value Asset Management & Transportation Team. The Agent is responsible for assisting in multiple levels of mission planning and execution. The Agent is the commander on the ground and accountable for the success of the mission. Planning responsibilities include, but are not limited to, domestic and international objective and route reconnaissance, equipment sourcing, communications and brief preparations. The right Agent is an expert in the transport of high value assets, security, and is capable of acting decisively in high-stress situations. This position will be part of a team of armed agents and supported by an embedded TOC and intel assets. This team's objective is the safe and secure movement of priceless assets both domestically and internationally. Performance will be evaluated by feedback from the Division Manager as well as the client through AARs and customer surveys.

This position can be based in any of the following markets and may entail domestic and international travel:

* California (Los Angeles or the Bay Area)

* Colorado (Denver)

* National Capital Region (Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C.)

* North Carolina (Charlotte)

* Puerto Rico

* Texas (Houston, San Antonio)

Primary Responsibilities:

Accountable for the safety and security of the client's principals and assets in both static and dynamic settings

  • Responsible for creating, maintaining, and rehearsing mission SOPs and procedures
  • Strategically develop security techniques and manage key security services for the enterprise while providing expertise in the area of the protection and secure movement of people and high value assets
  • Maintain close collaboration with the SOC and intelligence team for proactive threat analysis and operational planning
  • Provide a white-glove experience to client principals
  • Ensure the highest standards of conduct, appearance, performance, training, and customer service are being met at all times as well as enhancing customer communications
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships with the staff of the client's enterprise security groups, as well as other process partners and business units in every region
  • Grow relationships with clients by focusing on client satisfaction and dependability
  • Monitor external developments including but not limited to best practices, tools, and technologies to enhance the overall security program
  • Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent soft skills to interact with high-profile civilians and provide a secure environment with minimal requirements on the part of the client (required)
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Successful graduation from a protective security course with a leading protection school such as SECFOR, Executive Protection Institute, or Executive Security International, among others (required)
  • Able to pass or demonstrate recent completion of all relevant training to include, but not limited to defensive driving, advanced weapons, executive protection/journey management, customer service, advanced medical, and surveillance detection (required)
  • Must have demonstrated experienced in highly dynamic environments with autonomy to act and execute decisions (required)
  • Must pass a federal background check and drug screening (required)
  • Ability to pass pre-deployment medical and dental screenings (CRC/NDC) (required)
  • Current passport required to deploy (required)
  • Licensed to work as an armed security professional in the market for which you are applying (required)
  • Licensed to carry a firearm in the market for which you are applying (preferably concealed) (required)
  • Active TSA Global Entry, Pre-Check, and/or CLEAR (preferred)
  • Military (combat arms or SOF MOS a plus) or relevant law enforcement background (preferred)
  • Professional/formal training in defensive tactics, counter surveillance / surveillance detection, and covert protection experience (preferred)
  • Possess a solid understanding of the latest technology in security monitoring and surveillance detection systems, use of mobile devices, and communication and secure collaboration applications (preferred)
