Job Description

Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) is seeking a detail oriented professional who enjoys working as part of a team to participate in the Accounting functions as the organization's Staff Accountant.  This full-time position reports to the Controller.  This position is based out of our East Walnut Hills administrative office in Cincinnati.
 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Daily review cash receipts and bank transactions and timely recording in GL and/or billing logs.
  • Review and post Accounts Payable entries.
  • Prepare monthly cost reimbursement invoices for funders.
  • Prepare and post monthly GL journal entries.
  • Manage grant funding as assigned.
  • Enter, review, and post expense allocations to the GL as required.
  • Enter WesBanco manual checks to GL.
  • Prep 5/3 bank reconciliation for Controller.
  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
  • Prepare reports for management monitoring of finance results as assigned.

SKILL COMPETENCIES:
  • Knowledge of accounting software and other financial applications.
  • Ability to analyze data, document and explain variances.
  • Excel skills to include creation of pivot tables, VLookup and dashboards.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills with the ability to work well with all levels of colleagues. 
  • Adheres to strict deadlines & upholds high quality of work.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate's degree in Accounting preferred or five years position-specific experience in an Accounting field. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytic skills.
