2021 Mopar Quality Engineer - SVR - Metro Detroit/Toledo

Job Description
The Summer Vacation Replacement (SVR) is a temporary role responsible for the quality of Stellantis vehicles processed through the Mopar Custom Shops (MCS) as well as quality of all Mopar released accessory parts. The SVR will work in a fast-paced cross functional team environment to ensure successful validation of accessory parts, launch of new programs at the MCS, and launch of parts for dealer retail sales. The SVR will help with part validation tests, auditing vehicles and manufacturing processes at the MCS, and resolving customer warranty issues based on field data. The SVR is assigned to our MCS manufacturing facilities located throughout Michigan and Ohio. The open position will have exposure to multiple MCS locations located in the Metro Detroit area in Sterling Heights and Warren as well as Toledo Ohio.
Please note, this is a 90-day, temporary assignment.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree or pursuing a degree majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace or Chemical Engineering at an accredited university or related field with a sophomore or higher standing
- Ability to work any shift and overtime, as required
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3.0 or higher GPA (based on a 4.0 scale)
- Strong interest in automotive industry
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Exhibits strong leadership characteristics
- Problem solving experience
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well individually and in a team environment
- Interested in working within an office or manufacturing environment
- Computer proficient (including spreadsheet, word processing, presentation and
- database applications)
