Position Highlights | The University of Arizona (UArizona) is accepting applications for an Associate General Counsel (Legal Affairs Counsel II) position in its Office of the General Counsel (OGC). The successful candidate will work in a diverse range of practice areas common to higher education institutions, including student affairs, Title IX, FERPA, employment, compliance, and public records. This position also will involve litigation strategy and oversight, and working with outside counsel and the Arizona Attorney General's Office. OGC represents and advises UArizona and the Arizona Board of Regents on sophisticated legal matters and complex issues, working closely with University constituents, including University leadership. Moreover, OGC has a highly collaborative and collegial culture and environment that values differences in the perspectives and backgrounds of its team members, utilizing each attorney's wide range of expertise and experience.

Minimum Qualifications |

Preferred Qualifications | Seven or more years of complex, high-level legal practice after bar licensure. Experience representing research academic institutions, colleges, or universities. Experience as a practicing litigator with litigation oversight responsibilities. Experience in legal issues related to students, Title IX, or public governmental entities. |
