The Cloud team is responsible for planning, designing and implementing next generation cloud infrastructure solutions for FCA North America. The Cloud Solution Architect will report to the CTO organization. The Cloud Solutions Architect is a principal technical adviser to help craft strategies to drive adoption and use of Cloud services across Stellantis. This position will also provision solutions in the cloud environment based project requirements. This role requires technical acumen and customer-facing skills to effectively represent CTO within application development teams and drive discussions with their senior leadership regarding cloud strategy. This position will also provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help plan and build solutions using best practices.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Implement AWS or GCP Cloud Adoption
Frameworks Architecture Reviews, Design Workshops and other core best practices as well as bringing to the forefront emerging solutions
Design and deploy dynamically scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant, and reliable applications on AWS, Azure, and Google Platforms
Create cloud native foundation for user management, security, capacity, monitoring and catalog of services for application development teams
Design standard templates for deployment of IaaS, PaaS, solutions
Implement dashboards for managing cloud performance and budgetary alerts
Design and deploy Hybrid Cloud solution to integrate with on premise applications
Implement security solutions for multi-cloud environments including identity and access management in compliance with FCA security policy
Implement cloud network solutions within the cloud environment and integrate with global FCA networks
Migrate on prem complex, multi-tier applications
Design and deploy enterprise-wide scalable solution
Implement cost-control strategies
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, telecommunications, or related field
5 years of proven experience as an Infrastructure architecture and project delivery
2 years of hands on experience working with cloud based technologies
In-depth understanding of Security/Compliance relative to cloud technology
Possess a strong understanding of enterprise technology adoption
Proven ability to explain transformational concepts to executive decision makers and influence their technology strategy
Fluency with cloud-native application architectures (PaaS, microservices, containerization, serverless computing, API design patterns)
Strong understanding of automation and DevOps tools, and Cloud Governance
Ability to evaluate cloud application requirements and make architectural recommendations for implementation, deployment, and provisioning applications on the cloud.
Ability to provide best practice guidance on the architectural design across multiple applications and projects of the enterprise
Strong understanding for application integration of upstream and downstream system required
Good communication skills, documentation, managing delivery timelines, handle multiple projects and multitasking skills
Able to work and interact with others in a structured / team environment
Accuracy and attention to detail, must have good organization skills, and process improvement skills.
Must be able to identify risks and establish priorities in a high energy environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in computer science, Engineering or telecommunications areas.
Professional level AWS, Azure or GCP technical certifications
Experience with automated builds or cloud solutions
Proven experience managing IT applications in automotive space
2 years of cloud technologies designing and deploying solutions in Azure and AWS
Kubernetes deployment experience
Strong understanding for utilizing native cloud technologies for user management, security, costing and tools
