This position is based in Durham, NC.

Internship Description:

BioMerieux is seeking an intern to work under the Engineering and Automation team to assist with the development and implementation of engineering solutions in a manufacturing environment. This will be a great opportunity to gain real world experience while working in a fast paced, regulated Medical Instruments industry.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities may include any of the following:

  • Assist with the development and implementation of engineering solutions to improve bioMerieux manufacturing systems
  • Perform manufacturing data mining and analysis and identify trends
  • Write and test SQL Queries, write Excel Macros using Visual Basic for Applications, and develop applications using C#, VB.net, or Python.
  • Other assignments as directed by management.

Requirements:

  • Computer Science or Engineering major
  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree program at a recognized institution of higher Learning and have reached sophomore level status or later.
  • At least a 2.7 GPA
  • Good Communication skills

Experience or Familiarity with any of the following is a plus:

  • SQL Query language and relational databases.
  • C#, VB.net, or Python, Excel and VBA
  • Programmable Logic Controllers and GUI design
