Job Description

Torch Technologies, a 100% Employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Visualization Developer capable of developing applications that present big data and complex concepts in a clear and navigable experience supporting the Ground Vehicle System Center (GVSC) at Detroit Arsenal, MI. Candidates will develop interactive, intuitive, and elegant visualization products for soldiers and civilians. Candidate will be expected to effectively prototype and communicate designs for user interfaces and visualizations. The candidate will be expected to work closely with other developers, artists, and customers to develop quality software products. Candidate should be able to take direction and work independently as well as with a team. Candidate should be dependable and self-motivated, eager to overcome challenges and solve problems. Previous experience working within a DoD environment is a plus, but not required.

Job Requirements

• A relevant Bachelor's degree and 2-20years of experience in related work
• Experience with development using C++ or related programing language
• Familiarity with development using game engines
• Experience with modern design tools to build interactive mock-ups and prototypes
• Familiarity with Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality design is preferred
• Experience with Linux Operating Systems is preferred
• Familiarity with source control repositories such as Git and Gitlab is preferred
• Must be a team player and know the importance of listening to others. Be a positive, active, and contributing member of the team.
• This position may require occasional and infrequent travel. This position requires access to protected government data and as such required an appropriate background check and may require a DOD security clearance.
