Job Description

Torch Technologies, a 100% Employee-owned company, is seeking a talented Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Engineer capable of architecting complex simulations with distributed components that inter-communicate with Message Passing Interfaces (MPI) in real time and human in the loop environments supporting the Ground Vehicle System Center (GVSC) at Detroit Arsenal, MI.The candidate selected for this position will work directly with customers navigating a variety of asynchronous and synchronous communications tools. Candidate is expected to develop and relay requirements from customers. Candidate should be able to take direction and work independently as well as with a team. Candidate should be dependable and self-motivated, eager to overcome challenges and solve problems. Previous experience working within a DoD environment is a plus, but not required.

Job Requirements

• A technical degree with 3-20 years of experience (multiple positions).
• Advanced understanding and experience with C++
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design
• Experience with MPI Architectures
• Experience with real time simulations
• Experience with testing software
• Experience optimizing software
• Experience with Linux Operating Systems
• Ability to reverse engineer software where documentation is lacking
• Familiarity with source control repositories such as Git and Gitlab
• Must be a team player and know the importance of listening to others. Be a positive, active, and contributing member of the team.
