Job Description

Role:

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Environmental Health and Safety, the EHS Program Manager - Giga Texas is responsible for collaboratively creating, managing, standardizing and improving critical EHS programs knowledge by driving development and deployment of key site programs, standards, and guidance in partnership with local, regional and global EHS support teams.

This role will provide strategic, operational and technical guidance in all relevant EHS programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively create, develop, implement, maintain, and improve regional and local EHS Programs with EHS Operations Team and both internal as well as external stakeholders.
  • Delivering knowledge management, relationships, and professional growth by leading, researching, establishing, and deploying best practices, standards, and guidelines for EHS risks.
  • Analyze EHS data, reports and recommend projects to drive improvement;

* Act as the subject matter expert within EHS for anyone with questions or queries regarding EHS Programs.

* Operate as both a servant leader and change agent driving for operational improvement across EHS.

* Proactive connect with various stakeholders to search for opportunities for improvement and collaboration.

* Act as a proactive liaison between Shared Services and the EHS operations team of Giga Texas to support site and regional program development by reaching out to key stakeholders and providing timely feedback.

* Lead the implementation of new programs by setting up project plans, coaching the EHS Ops team and provide advice on regional and or local adjustments.

* Lead and support Global and Regional Initiatives like Global EHS Week, Risk Reduction Planning, site level implementation of the Tesla Learning Management System, Take Charge, etc.

* Support special EHS projects including internal EHS audits/inspections as assigned.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in science or engineering or related discipline

* 5 or more years of EHS program and project management experience;

* Advanced project management skills;

* Ability to work in a challenging and fast paced, collaborative environment;

* Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure while managing competing demands

and tight deadlines;

* Able to influence and communicate effectively with all levels of management;

* Able to identify and work on business-driven needs, EHS Strategy or emerging risks;

* Able to creatively and pro-actively problem-solve and develop short- and long-term goals;

  • Builds relationships through collaboration both within and outside of EHS, strong communication skills;
  • A focus on EHS Program/Project Management, Data Analytics, KPI's, Systems, Training and Documentation;
  • Strong program manager who is able to:
        • Connect to and collaboratively work with different key-stakeholders throughout the business channels.
        • Get a clear picture on the problem/improvement possibility.
        • Identify and recruit project team or other resources.
        • Identify and closing actions and gaps.
        • Standardizing, implementing and monitoring EHS processes

* Well organized with meticulous attention to detail;

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

* Proficiency in MS Office 365 Suite, including SharePoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Project Management Professional (PMP)

* Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
