Position Summary

The IDP peer mentor is an advanced IDP student who will support the IDP Specialists, assist IDP students, contribute to planning, and help build community among IDP students.

Duties/Responsibilities

1. Assist IDP staff in development of IDP proposals
2. Connect with alumni and develop activities for the program.
3. Assist staff in representing the CIL at virtual campus events.
4. Assist staff with IDP workshop and courses.

Required Qualifications

* Current MSU Denver student and current IDP student (IDP major or minor).
* Cumulative GPA 3.0 or higher.
* IDP Proposal complete or nearly complete (as confirmed by IDP advisor).
* Willingness to work with students from many backgrounds and with diverse characteristics.
* Ability to commit to position for two semesters.

Preferred Qualifications

* Willingness to be a team player and positive role model for diverse students of all ages and backgrounds.
* Ability to adapt to different communication styles.
* Ability to be detail oriented.
* Comfort with spreadsheet, forms, websites, and many types of data/information.
