JENSEN HUGHES has a career opening for a Lab Engineer in Baltimore, Maryland The position will have a role in leading and conducting research and testing services to support clients in various fire and thermal-fluid science related studies which include commercial, industrial, government (DoD, DOT), and forensics. Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work both independently and in collaboration with a multi-discipline team of professional consultants and engineers. The candidate will lead her/his project efforts, ensuring appropriate resources to meet schedule. The position will involve the design, execution and analysis of research and testing programs from bench-scale to full-scale. Some work will be conducted at other off-site facilities. Candidates will be responsible for the proper oversight of lab facilities and equipment (e.g., hood calorimeters, test furnace, and other standardized and unique apparatus).

Qualifications
    MS Degree or higher in an Engineering field
  • Demonstrated experience in Fire Dynamics, and in conducting complex analyses
  • Demonstrated experience in Fire Research with at least 2 years of direct lab experience
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to deliver presentations to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Availability to work onsite in Baltimore, MD (BWI area)
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
