Automatic Screw Machine Operator

Reports to: Supervisor

Location: St. Louis, MO

Primary responsibility is to diagnose, overhaul, and repair all types of automatic screw machines and to assist in other work as assigned.

Duties and Responsibilities (included but not limited to):

• Work from complex drawings and specifications in accordance with standard practices.
• Examine machines and mechanical equipment to diagnose source of trouble
• Dismantling machines and performing repairs that mainly involve the use of hand tools in scraping and fitting parts
• Replacing broken or defective parts with items obtained from stock
• Reassembling machines
• Making all necessary adjustments for operation.
• Keep machine, tools, attachments and work area clean and orderly.
• Routine maintenance to be performed by the operator.

Requirement/Qualifications:

• Knowledge of all types of screw machines is necessary
• The ideal candidate will have a related certificate or schooling and/or 2 - 3 years' experience
