The Role

Tesla is seeking a Civil Drafter/Designer to support the design and construction of a variety of new and renovations to existing industrial, manufacturing in our Fremont, CA facilities.

Responsibilities

* Civil drafting and design deliverables on AutoCAD

* Prepare design drawings, plans, and details

* Coordinate drawings with multidiscipline project teams including Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Piping/Plumbing including assisting in utility routing

* Coordinate design input and markups from engineering leads

* Work with the BIM/CAD support team to achieve consistent results and incorporate new design into the existing facility models

* Utilize and improve design standards

* Responsible for producing quality drawings

* Develop and improve design skills; design and engineering understanding

* Assist in presenting 30% 60% 90% design reviews to stakeholders and multi-discipline teams

Requirements

* Minimum 2 years of drafting experience for building or Industrial projects

* Experience with AutoCAD

* Willingness to work overtime to meet deadlines

* Ability to work with a diverse team

* Able to multi-task and be flexible/adapt to rapidly changing project requirements/timelines

* Ability to uphold the use of standards and escalate issues in a timely fashion

* Ability to work independently with minimal oversight; prioritize and communicate assignments

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

* 3 years or more years of drafting experience for building or industrial projects

* Diploma in Civil, Structural Engineering or ITE drafting certificate

* Civil3D experience

* Revit experience
