Job Description

Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen

Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI, adjudicated by DIA or DoD CAF

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure Processing Exploitation and Dissemination (PED) and associated communications network requirements are satisfied in order to deliver the most effective and efficient ISR capabilities to the CCMDs. Tasks include:
    • Conducting architecture analysis of data transport pathways from sensors in-theater to ground receive stations and, ultimately, PED sites.
    • Maintaining architecture diagrams showing data transport paths.
    • Analyzing military Service data transport architectures to determine gaps and identify potential solutions.
    • Attending planning meetings associated with ISR communications and networks.
    • Producing weekly summaries related to the status of ISR communications and networks.
    • Assisting in day-to-day Department-level coordination related to the deployment and reallocation of ISR communications systems.
    • Coordinating the development of network architectures to federate PED requirements across the CCMDs, Services, CSAs, and/or Partners.
    • Identifying the PED requirements associated with existing, new, or emerging ISR capabilities to ensure they are operationally capable upon deployment.
    • Maintaining a collaborative relationship with in-theater ISR communications and network activities (both US and partner nation) in order to maintain an understanding of the current ISR operating environment.
  • Other duties as assigned/required.

Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university, with a minimum of 10 years of any combination of military, civilian, or contractor experience with the Government or DoD and a minimum of 5 years (8 or more years is highly desired) of ISR communication architectures and networks experience is required; acceptable substitutions for the above requirement include:
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 12 years of any combination of military, civilian, or contractor experience with the DoD and a minimum of 7 years (10 or more years is highly desired) of ISR communication architectures and networks experience is required;
    • Total combination of 15 years of military operational service with ISR operations task-related experience, including a minimum of 5 years earned as an E-6 or O-3 (or above) is required.
  • Desired:
    • Demonstrated experience interfacing with the CSAs and Services developing solutions across the spectrum of C4 systems including terrestrial, beyond line of sight and line of sight capabilities at the tactical and operational levels, especially relating to ISR and with recent (last three years) operational relevance is highly desired.
    • Demonstrated experience working through Department-level policy and governance challenges related to the development and fielding of communications systems is highly desired.
    • Recent (within last three years) experience on Service, Joint, or OSD Staffs is highly desired.
    • Experience with OUSD(I) is highly desired.
    • Demonstrated experience interfacing with the CCMDs, USSOCOM and its components at the Action Officer and Planner levels with regards to their ISR operations, collection, communications, and analytic systems is desired.

Physical Requirements / Travel

  • Normal office environment.
  • 10% travel expected, account dependent.
